Chris joined Cleveland Police Authority in 1999 as a Councillor Member and in 2008 was appointed as an Independent Member.
Chris has particular interest in the Stockton CDRP and Stockton Basic Command Unit (as he was a Councillor and lives in that town).
As a Police Authority Member Chris wants to help the Cleveland Police service become the most efficient and effective Police Service in the country in order to provide the public with the Policing they need and deserve.
Chris was a primary school Head Teacher, an Ofsted-trained Inspector and a tutor for NPQH (Head Teacher qualification). He is married with two grown up children and four grandchildren. As well as Chris's Police Authority committments he is also a Governor of two primary schools and Stockton Riverside College (FE College).
