Geoff was appointed to the Authority as an Independent Member in March 2010.
He qualified as a Solicitor in 1986 and prior to that worked as an Assistant Engineer in Local Government in the Cleveland area. He then worked in North Yorkshire for 23 years and retired as HM Coroner for the Western district of North Yorkshire in 2009 and is currently Deputy Coroner for that area.
Geoff is also an Independent Member and Chair of Middlesbrough Borough Council's Standards Committee.
