The vital work undertaken by officers, staff and volunteers involved in neighbourhood Policing will be officially recognised at an awards ceremony on Monday (June 14th).
The winners of the first-ever Cleveland Police Neighbourhood Policing Awards will be announced at the event being staged at Cleveland Police headquarters. Over 80 nominations were received for awards which include categories for:
- Neighbourhood Officer of the Year
- Neighbourhood Police Community Support Officer of the Year
- Neighbourhood Team of the Year
- Neighbourhood Special Constable of the Year
- Neighbourhood Supporting Volunteer of the Year
There will be awards for each of the four Force districts and the overall Cleveland winners will then go forward to a national Neighbourhood Policing competition.
Around 150 people are expected to attend the event where the awards will be presented by members of Cleveland Police Authority and Chief Constable Sean Price.
