14.06.10 Awards Recognise Neighbourhood Policing Achievements


The vital work undertaken by officers, staff and volunteers involved in neighbourhood Policing will be officially recognised at an awards ceremony on Monday (June 14th).

The winners of the first-ever Cleveland Police Neighbourhood Policing Awards will be announced at the event being staged at Cleveland Police headquarters. Over 80 nominations were received for awards which include categories for:

  • Neighbourhood Officer of the Year
  • Neighbourhood Police Community Support Officer of the Year
  • Neighbourhood Team of the Year
  • Neighbourhood Special Constable of the Year
  • Neighbourhood Supporting Volunteer of the Year

There will be awards for each of the four Force districts and the overall Cleveland winners will then go forward to a national Neighbourhood Policing competition.

Around 150 people are expected to attend the event where the awards will be presented by members of Cleveland Police Authority and Chief Constable Sean Price.
