Cleveland Police and Cleveland Police Authority are looking for examples of outstanding service from your local Neighbourhood Policing Teams.

We want to hear about police officers, police staff and volunteers who have gone the extra mile and whose contributions have made a real difference in their local communities.
They will be recognised at the second annual Neighbourhood Policing Awards ceremony which is due to take place over the summer.
We are looking for nominations for the following categories:
- Neighbourhood Police Officer of the Year
- Neighbourhood Police Community Support Officer of the Year
- Neighbourhood Special Constable of the Year
- Neighbourhood Volunteer of the Year
- Neighbourhood Team of the Year
Chief Constable of Cleveland Police Sean Price said: “Neighbourhood Policing has been a real success in Cleveland since it was introduced and we are looking for outstanding examples of this success that we can formally recognise.
“Latest figures show that crime is down 10% compared with the previous year, which is a result of all our officers, staff and volunteers Putting People First and working hard with our partners and local communities to make tangible differences in neighbourhoods.
“It is right that we should recognise people’s achievements and I would encourage anyone who has had outstanding service from us to put a nomination forward.”
Added Cleveland Police Authority Chair, Councillor Dave McLuckie “Last year’s competition was a great success and underlined just how much people value their local policing teams and their efforts to deal with the issues and concerns which affect their areas and day-to-day lives.
“The awards provide members of the public with the chance to nominate police officers, community support officers and volunteers they think deserve recognition—and I hope as many people as possible will take the opportunity to send in nominations.
“This is a challenging time for everyone in the Force—and indeed the police service as a whole—and I believe that all those who play a part in tackling crime and improving public safety deserve our support.”
