CPA Summer Roadshows 2011-12 -
Consultation on Anti Social Behaviour
During the summer months of 2011, Cleveland Police Authority were out and about at community events asking the public their opinions on policing in their area. The Authority consulted with the general public at the Redcar Half Marathon, Hartlepool Heritage Festival and Ridewell Event. Unfortunately, due to bad weather conditions, we were unable to consult at Middlesbrough Mela as planned.
Three types of consultation were used to gauge public opinion on Anti Social Behaviour issues in their area. A questionnaire gained open ended opinions and views. Visitors also took part in an officer allocation exercise where they were asked to decide how they would place local policing teams to tackle Anti Social Behaviour community problems.
The third type of consultation - the use of the Voicebox (mobile diary room), run by Safe in Tees Valley - recorded views on Anti Social Behaviour for compilation in a video. The video, which is shown immediately below, outlines their views.

Young Person's Policing Summary 2011-12 Launch
Since 2007, Cleveland Police Authority have involved the young people in their districts (Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Stockton and Redcar and Cleveland) in their policing priority decision making processes by designing a Local Policing Plan for 11-19 year olds.
The four resulting documents, which are distributed to all young people in education, outline the problematic themes which young people think the police should be targetting in their areas.
The Cleveland Young Person's Policing Plans were launched at a ceremony on Monday 12 September at Cleveland Police Headquaters.
